This policy explains how ResumeForge collects, uses, and protects your personal information.

1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide when creating an account (name, email address via Clerk authentication), resume content you enter into the builder, and payment information processed by Paddle. We also collect usage data through PostHog analytics, including pages visited, features used, and device information.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to provide and improve the resume building service, process payments, communicate about your account or billing, and analyze usage patterns to enhance the product experience.
3. AI processing
Resume content you enter may be sent to third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI and Google) to generate summaries, bullet points, skills, and other resume content. These providers process your data according to their own privacy policies. ResumeForge does not use your resume content to train AI models.
4. Data sharing
We share data only with service providers necessary to operate ResumeForge: Clerk for authentication, Paddle for payment processing, AI providers for content generation, and PostHog for analytics. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
5. Data retention
Account and resume data is retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and saved resumes will be removed within 30 days. Guest download data is retained for billing and support purposes as required by law.
6. Cookies and analytics
ResumeForge uses essential cookies for authentication (Clerk session cookies) and analytics cookies (PostHog) to understand how the service is used. These cookies are necessary for the proper functioning of the service.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can export your resume data at any time and request account deletion by contacting info@parallaxsolutions.dev. Where applicable, you may also have the right to data portability and to object to certain processing activities.
8. Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and secure storage practices. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
ResumeForge is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
